The First International Conference of Rosacea & Symposium on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Discosmetic Dermatosis Held in Changsha
It is learned that, rosacea is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis mainly occurring in the middle of the face of young and middle-aged women. The prevalence rate of Chinese people is close to 4%. Due to the poor operability of the previous diagnostic criteria for rosacea and the inconsistent understanding of rosacea in China, there are many missed and misdiagnosed clinical cases. The pathogenesis of rosacea is unclear and the basic research is relatively backward, leading to the lack of clinical treatment methods. It is currently a challenge and hot spot in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of dermatology in China.
Dermatologists from the United States, Germany, Qatar, Canada, South Korea and other countries were invited to give video lectures in the Conference, showing the latest international situation and cutting-edge trends in clinical and basic research of rosacea. Dirk M. Elston, editor-in-chief ofJAADin the United States, analyzed and explained the perspectives and ideas of editors based on several cases in the top dermatology journalJAAD.
